BSG “Razor”

The Battlestar Galactica razor is supposedly a stand alone movie length episode, and it is. It’s basically the story of the Pegasus, both before she met up with Galactica, and during their time away from New Caprica. We learn much about the Pegasus, what motivates her crew and officers, as well as some of the reasons behind the attrocities they committed.

The visuals are great, the Cylon attack on the shipyard at the start of the war is simply mindbogglingly beatiful in it’s horror. And to top it of, there are some nice surprises from the past :D.

Guitar Hero 3

Managed to get what seems to be the last GH3 box available in the local mall. The game itself is similar to it’s predecessor, as expected. The new wireless guitar is a great improvement over the previous model, though.

Ayran

The bakery selling Turkish pizza at our mall also sells a Turkish milk product called ‘ayran‘. It goes really well with the pizza, and I really developped a taste for it. As such, I really liked it that the bakery now sells it in 1 liter packs as well :P. In taste, it sits somewhere between yoghurt and milk.

Heroes S02E09 “Cautionary Tales”

Just… wow. A lot happens, some things expected, some different from expected. All in all I really loved this one.

Connexxionless

Trains and busses not running on time is something that will happen. I do believe that they actually try to run on time, but due to circumstances (not always) out of their control it happens. While annoying when it happens, you can live with it. What REALLY pisses me off is when I see the last bus, the 18:37, leave at 18:32, just as I came round the corner and the bus stop came into view.

Groundwork

After “thinking” about it for six months, and then taking 6 more months postponing it for various reasons, my plans for a garden shed are finally coming to a close. This ment I spent a good part of the day shovelling dirt around in my garden, to prepare the foundation. The rough edges are done now, this weekend I plan on doing the more detailed stuff like making sure of the correct depth, and making sure it’s all level.

Cow-orkers

Been a while since my last post, so sue me.

Last weekend was great. I had some former cow-orkers(*) from my time at REMU over, and we did pretty much nothing but catch up, watch some movies and stuff like that. Great way to spend a weekend.

We also made some preliminary holiday plans involving warm, clear water, beautiful wildlife and SCUBA gear. :P

(*) Orking cows is illegal in the state of Utah, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
