Picked up War of the Worlds, with Tom Cruise. It was definately better than I expected, given the ratings. There were plenty of tense moments, and the SFX were good. The only downside was the little girl, who was so bloody annoying at times you hoped the aliens would get her…

Seems there wasnt enough clearance at the wall, so the floor in my kitchen has come up a few cm. Noth too drastic, I was able to remove the piece used for fitting, so now everything is was it was. All i have to do now is redo the fitting piece.

As Dell screwed up our order, our laptops were delivered with the mid-level Ati X1400 video chipset, instead of the high-end Nvidia Go7900GS chipset we ordered. Dell after sales support was quick to react, and offered us 2 options: either refuse delivery (they were still underway when we found out about their mistake), or accept the delivery, and they’d send us the proper videocard. As I’m technically inclined, I chose the latter option.

Great. My cats seem to have discovered the secret of opening the container I store their food in. Note that this is one of those plastic containers with clamps to keep the lid down, so I suspect quite some force is used… which would probably mean Gijs is involved.

Or rather, armour for my shiney. As the new laptop is a tad on the large side, I needed a new bag for it. After some careful internet research, I decided to go for a Crumpler “The Belly XL”. Let’s just say it’s cavernous. The lappy fits with ease, as well as a load of other crap I might want to take along with me.
