omg wtf bbq pwn…

Well, that is a lot of loose ends tied up. A lot of things explained. Seems like a lot of plot lines seem clearer now, so everything we think we know will probably turn out to be false again :P

Unhappy…

When visiting the Blijdorp Zoo I shot these pictures of the Serval cats they had. They had two, and neither was a happy camper. While I think that generally our zoos have fairly decent animal accomodations, these were still the old ones, which are rather cramped for the animals. Luckily a new, modern accomodation is being constructed as we speak.

BSG 319 “Crossroads, part I”

The most recent episode was pretty decent in my opinion. While there wasn’t a lot of action, some significant sparks did fly in the Baltar treason trial.

Gameweek, part 1

Just got back from a nice and relaxing week doing pretty much nothing in Beche, in the Belgian Ardennes region.

The house we rented was great. It has plenty of common rooms, and plenty of sleeping space. there was central and electric heating in most of the rooms, and the main room had a nice woodburning stove. Outside was a large terrace with a beautiful view, and a large garden below that, with plenty of space for the (permitted) bonfire. The only (minor) downside was that the top floors with the sleeping areas were rather noisy.

The weather was a peculiar mix of sun and snow. One moment you’d have beatiful sunny weather, one hour later everything was covered in a few centimeters of snow. This continued pretty much the entire week. Worst was Thursday, where we were unable to move one of the cars from it’s parking space due to the snow. Luckily, were were able to get enough cars going to visit the La Chouffe brewery.

Took many pictures, will add them later.

Heroes

Wen introduces me to the television series “Heroes”, about a group of people who discover they have special “super”powers. Admittedly, I was sceptical at first, mainly because I feared it would be too much like the Marvel superheroes, like Superman, Spiderman, X-men and so forth. While the special powers are similar, this story concentrates much more on the people behind it, and their interaction. Of course, some shady (probably government) organisation doesnt help in simplifying the plot :P.

All in all definately worth watching.

Natural Selection

This little fella demonstrated that he definately wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed, by walking around in broad daylight outside a house with 3 cats.

Apodemus Sylvaticus

While we don’t have a positive identification of the remains, we have reason to believe Sam removed this particular specimen’s genes from the pool.

Sad, but that’s nature.

Duty

Did my duty and mashed a random (well, not really) button on the voting machine.
