Hopped along with Lya to a fotostore, to buy her new camera, as I needed some stuff myself as well. Boy, talking about letting kids loose in a candy store.

Got myself a new wide-angle lens, a set of macro tubes, and a flash. Lya got herself some good gear too, before I managed to drag her away… or the other way around

Perhaps not really a battle, but we did spend our weekend in the Ardennes, Belgium. Weather was brilliant on the travel days, and ok-ish during the rest of our stay there. The Ardennes are simply stunning this time of year, but I think the late autumn may have been in our advantage.

The accomodation was fine, a large house with plenty of 2 person bedrooms, and a sizable livingroom with enough little hooks and corners that people could be on their own if they wanted to.

On saturday we celebrated Lya’s birthday. Lya’s gift had the desired effect. As the commercial goes: “The look on Lya’s face: Priceless”.

Long story short, I had a blast, and I’m looking forward to the next time
